I met Joe a few years ago, and found him to be a loving, devoted father, as well as a caring and giving person to all those around him.  As time went on, I was intrigued at what he had accomplished with his music. After 9/11, Joe gave a year of his life, traveling around the country on his Let Freedom Sing Tour for the FDNY firefighters of Engine Company 55. In 2004 he toured Iraq with his all-star band, going far beyond the call of duty.

Joe is not a person that demands recognition, but rather, he is a man of true action, as he has proven over the past few years.  He really doesn't fit the typical Rock & Roll artist profile!

As we started putting together a web site for him, surprisingly, I was able to learn even more about what he had done, and what he is still doing to help others.  Joe has an incredible story to tell.  After a great deal of prodding, we sat down and started making notes, going through thousands of pictures.

As he would show me a picture of himself with his band entertaining the troops, or just hanging out with them at various bases in Iraq, he would always have a big smile and a story to tell.  He would also find a way to incorporate a connection with his girls, like describing a picture of him proudly pointing to a dedication message from one of his daughters that he saw on a memorial to 9/11 victims in New York.

Each night, Joe's daughters and their friends would see the pictures and the newspaper articles and would get a kick out of seeing him from 30 or more years ago with his slicked back hair and other 50's garb!  So, sit back and enjoy this story about the incredible life of a great American patriot, loving father, and generous friend, including some fun and exciting pictures of his accomplishments with his music, alongside some of the greatest names in the history of entertainment.
